Sydney Aerial Theater is offering an introductory class into three of the main aerials, apparatuses trapeze, lyra and tissu, this class is called Aerial101.
In this class, you will learn the basic skills and conditioning techniques to build a great foundation to each apparatus from which you can take over to a beginner graded class of your choosing or aerial trio if you still can decide which one you love best.

Sydney Aerial Theatre is the leading aerial and circus arts training centre and performance company in Sydney, founded in 1999 by Shelalagh McGovern and Aimee Thomas to promote circus and aerial skills in the community. Aerialize offers our students and the wider community access to expert instruction in aerial and circus arts. Our aim is to provide our students with performance opportunities and industry training, as well as creating innovative and dynamic aerial theatre using professional performers for audiences across Australia and Asia. Aerialize runs courses that are fun and challenging in a safe and comfortable environment for people of all ages and abilities.

General courses include static trapeze, silks/tissue, Lyra, acro-balance, acrobatics, hula hoops, juggling, Chinese Pole, contortion and more.
This offer is for a casual class of Acrobalance for Adults.

The 90 minute class takes place on Tuesdays at 6:00-7:30pm.

Aerialize is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity with DRG status on the Australian Register of Cultural Organisations. Aerialize's studio is located in Canterbury.

Important Note! Due to the delicate nature of the tissu fabric, please ensure that you do not wear any item of clothing that includes zippers (either pants or jackets) when attending your class. Also, please ensure to remove all rings and other jewellery, watches and anything else that might get caught on the fabric and result in tearing.

This course is designed for people with all ranges of experience, from beginners to advanced.
After purchasing your activity, we will contact you and ask you:
- your full contact details
- any medical conditions the teachers need to be aware of
- your availabilities for the drop-in classes (please choose a minimum of three options)

The classes take place at Aerialize Sydney, 7-9 Close St, Canterbury NSW 2193.

Due to a recent fire the access to Aerialize's carpark is temporarily unavailable, otherwise there are normally six spots down the driveway at the back of the building and one or two spots on the driveway. Currently Aerialize has been given permission by either neighbour to park in their space: - 3-5 Close St (next door) - there are approximately eight spaces in the front yard and our students will have after-hours access to this yard for parking. - 11 Close St (next door, other side) - there are approximately seven spaces in the front yard and our students have been offered access to this yard for parking. - Woolworths Canterbury (entrance in Charles St, off New Canterbury Road) - there is ample parking and enough to cover your class session time.
