The Art Studio provides art classes for children and adults of all ages and experience levels, in a fun and friendly learning environment. The classes are tailored especially to kids age 10-15. Enjoy a meaningful connection with The Art Studio's warm, encouraging art class and art studio community for all ages and levels.

The Art Studio is managed by local Sydney artist Osnat Almog. Osnat is an exhibiting artist with a BA in Fine Art (National Art School) and a Master of Art (College Of Fine Art). Osnat established The Art Studio in 2010 with more than 15 years' experience in teaching art classes and facilitating workshops and art courses. There is a great focus Beginner Drawing and Painting Art Classes, Children and Teen Art Classes, Art Birthday Parties, Art Events, Creative Corporate Events, and incredible Art Retreat vacations around Australia!

Sketch Club is offering a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of drawing. Start off by learning the process of drawing with pencils: Basic Shapes, line, tone/shadow, detail and how to achieve various effects using pencils. This will be done by looking at a simple still life with a few white objects. The students will then apply this knowledge to other forms looking at perspective, drawing the figure, learning about portraits and getting really good at using a variety of wet and dry drawing materials such as: pencil, charcoal, chalk, ink and pen.

Sketch Club Youth Drawing classes are running after school on Fridays (ages 10-15)  from 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Students will learn: 

  • Drawing fundamentals
  • Self portrait/ bring in a portrait of someone you’d like to draw
  • Charcoal drawing of figures / posture / stance
  • White Pastel drawing of reflective surfaces on black paper
  • Ink architectural drawing  
  • Stippling drawing of something small and detailed (i.e shells/ jewellery)
  • BYO items – set up your own still life
  • Pop art portraiture
  • Animal drawing coloured ink and pen
  • Next Terms:
    • Term 1 – 29th of January to 7th of April 2018 
    • Term 2 – 1st of May to 7th of July 2018
    • Term 3 – 24th of July to 29th of September 2018
    • Term 4 – 15th of October to 22nd of December 2018
  • Each term includes 10 classes 
  • Full Term Bookings only
