Hangdog exists to introduce you and your kids to the freedom, the sense of achievement and the pure joy of rock climbing in a safe and controlled environment.

With over 100 climbs on 40 ropes and the new Auto Belay system, you and your kids will experience the thrill of rock climbing in a safe and controlled environment. Rain, hail or shine Hangdog Indoor Climbing Gym is open for your next adventure.

    • 2 Adults/ 1Kid (5-15) and 1 Kid (+16yrs)
    • 2 Adults/ 2 Kids (5-15)
  • Min. Age 5 years

  • NO Time Limit!
  • Mo-Fri: 10am-9pm || Sat: 9am-9pm ||Sun: 9am-7pm
  • Insurance Waivers must be signed (online or onsite)
  • Drinks, chips, ice creams and snacks are available, no cooked food || A cafe 50m from Hangdog
  • Accessible by Wheelchair | Wheelchair accessible toilet on site at Hangdog

  1. DO I HAVE TO BOOK? For the discounted family pass YES. 
  2. IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO CLIMB? Unlimited climbing all day everyday, if you need to leave and come back just let our staff at the counter know.
  3. WHAT IS THE YOUNGEST AGE A CHILD CAN CLIMB? There is no age restriction to climb, it all depends on the individual and their comfort with heights and their ability to get up the wall. Harnesses available to fit even the smallest of children.
  4. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? General entry for under 16 is $12 plus $5 for harness hire. If you would like to use the caves it is an additional $2.50 per person. For an adult to climb (16 and over) it is $16 plus $5 for harness hire.
  5. WHEN DO YOU OPEN? The opening hours are from 10am-9pm Monday-Friday, weekends are 9am-9pm Saturday and 9am-7pm Sunday.
  6. WHO CAN HOLD THE ROPES?  For safety reasons only  people aged 12 and over are allowed to hold the ropes for other participants. Staff will instruct you how to do this on arrival.
  7. WHAT DO I WEAR? Please were comfortable enclosed shoes while you are climbing and holding the ropes. You can hire climbing shoes for $3 a pair. Dress attire is in comfortable clothes to move around in and guys please keep your tops on! 
  8. IS THERE A WEIGHT RESTRICTION? Manufacturers recommend that if you weigh over 150kg that use of the auto-belays and climbing systems at Hangdog is not recommended. 
  9. WHERE DO I PARK? Unfortunately Hangdog does not have any off street parking; you can park in some of the quieter streets a short distance away from Hangdog. Be careful not to park in the bus zone that is out the front (it’s marked).
